Ungooglable, Pink, and My MacBook
October 23rd, 2006
Some anonymous person that I may or may not be related to has a blog. Person calls said blog Ungooglable. I note the background color of blog is pink. Anonymous person that I may or may not be related to may or may not have a nephew that shares a great love of the color pink (and they may or may not both be male).
Cameron really does love the color pink. I’ve been considering getting the kids lunchboxes for some time now. I fell in love with the Bento boxes at Laptop Lunches and so we ordered four of them (one for each of us - well the four of us that eat solid food - including me and Jamie). Cameron immediately picked the pink one. We picked out reusable water bottles about a week ago and Cameron chose pink for that one, too. Pink has been his favorite color since he could tell us his favorite color. The interesting thing is when he was in nursery at church there were at least four other boys in there with him who also claimed pink as their favorite color. Somehow, eventually, boys get the idea that pink is not a color for “real” men. So far Cameron hasn’t gotten that message. I hope he never does. I’d much rather he continue to claim pink as his favorite color than conform to society’s standard of pink being a “girly” color.
So the ongoing saga of my MacBook continues. It suffers from RSS which in this case means Random Shutdown Syndrome. I do my little workaround and it works but it’s a pain and overriding whatever it is that makes it not shutdown when booted up properly is not a good idea nor a reasonable longterm solution. So, since it seems Apple has actually figured out the problem and can actually fix it now, my MacBook will be sent off (probably) in the morning. Hopefully I will get it back within a week.

Actually, purple’s my favorite color. Darkish pink just makes a nice screen color.
Nicolas’ favorite color at age 4 and 5 was aslo pink. He always wore a pink coat to preschool. Soon all the little boys were also wearing pink coats to preschool.
Currently Pink is also Isaac’s favorite color.
Ungooglable? *Grin* It looks like a terrific web log. I hope the problems with your Mac Book are solved soon.
Can I make a guess at how Ungooglable might be related to you?
Had to share this funny story. My four and a half year old son also claims pink as his favorite color. The other day he told me he wanted ” a pink shirt, shoes, pants, oh just everything pink for Christmas.” I told him that Buck (my father) used to like to where purple. His replied with an emphatic, “I do NOT want purple.” “Why?” I shouldn’t have asked. His explanation, “Purple is a GIRL color.” Go figure….
Carter loved pink at one time. When he turned 5, he wanted a pink cake for his birthday, so I made him one. I knew that eventually he would shun the color, so I wanted to give him what he wanted while he still wanted it. I love the pictures of him with that pink cake!
