A Valentine’s Day Survey

Happy Valentine’s Day! I shamelessly stole this from a friend’s blog.
1. What is his name? Michael James, but he’s been called Jamie since he was about two weeks old.
2. How long have you been together? A bit over 12 years, married 9 1/2.
3. How long did you date? From November 3, 1995 until June 5, 1998. We were engaged 2 years 2 months of that.
4. How old is he? 32.
5. Who eats more? It depends on if I am pregnant or not and if I’ve remembered to eat during the day or not.
6. Who said I love you first? I have no idea anymore. That was a long time ago.
7. Who’s Taller? He is.
8. Who can sing better? Neither of us are particularly good singers. He’s probably better, but that’s not saying much.
9. Who is smarter? It totally depends on the subject. He’s science, I’m humanities.
10. Who does the laundry? Mostly I do.
11. Who pays the bills? Most of them are auto-paid. I do the finances and he earns the money.
12. Who sleeps on the right side? He does. But he always sleeps closer to the door and that’s the side of the bed the door is on.
13. Who mows the lawn? Until he moved, our neighbor. We don’t have much of a lawn to speak of since we live in a townhouse. We have a postage stamp in the back and half a postage stamp in the front. On the rare occasions he feels the urge, Jamie mows. I refuse to. I had a very traumatic incident of running over a yellow jacket nest once while filling in for my sister’s regular mowing our neighbor’s lawn job when I was a kid. I got stung tons of times and just thinking about mowing now makes me nervous.
14. Who cooks dinner? Usually me, but, particularly when I am pregnant, Jamie cooks a lot, too.
15. Who drives? Jamie almost always. I hate driving. Actually, it’s more that I hate merging. I refuse to drive on any roads ending in 95. Never mind most of the roads around here end in 95. And involve merging.
16. Who is more stubborn? Me.
17. Who kissed who first? He kissed me. I don’t know if he’d agree with that assessment, though.
18. Who asked who out first? He asked me.
19. Who proposed? He did.
20. Who has more friends? I do, but neither of us spend all that much time working on friendships.
21. Who is more sensitive? Me, I guess.
22. Who has more siblings? I do. He’s an only and I have a brother and a sister.
23. Who wears the pants? Depends on the situation. I like to say he does, but fact is, it’s probably me.
