We read one chapter book yesterday. Today’s school was done at my parents’. The recharge of the air conditioning in the townhouse we moved into didn’t work (it was a temporary fix that we were hoping would last until the part to fix the a/c came in and it could be fixed). So the kids and I spent the night at my parents’. We started school at 9.
Warm-up: The warm-up today was “letters”. Ani wrote that letters go on a until z.
Math: Ani completed page 15C of Math-U-See Delta. She played with the Flashmaster for a little while as well.
Latin: We worked on memorizing the plural side of the donum chant.
History: Ani worked on memorizing the Ancient Egyptian Dynasties list.
At this point (10:30) we went out shopping. We went back to doing school at 4.
Science: We read about bones and Ani narrated what she learned.
Language Arts: Ani took a misspelled words test. She did two pages in Spelling Workout B. She read lessons 47 and 48 in the McGuffey Third Reader. She worked on memorizing the prepositions and The Year. I read chapters 7, 8, and 9 of The Count of Monte Cristo (great illustrated classics) aloud. She completed lesson 24 of Rod & Staff English 3.
Religion: I read 10 pages of the Illustrated Book of Mormon volume 4 aloud.
Art: We read about Joseph Stella and Ani made a project using mixed media and straight lines.
We finished school at 5:45. Total time was 3 hours and 15 minutes.
